music blog aggregator shenanigans

So, today was kind of a bum day, and to top it off, I get an email from this funny guy:
so I am thinking awesome, some music ‘aggregator’ website added me and I didn’t even have to beg/perform sexual favors/pay money??? awesome, right?
only in dreams for this poor music blogger. I go to the said website and wait for it to load. All I see is a flash music player in the middle of the window with the ugliest color palette I’ve ever seen. I think to myself, fair enough, it’s about the music right? The player starts playing and I begin to wonder to myself, who’s playing? I scan with my mouse to see if there are any clickable dropdown menus, links anything that will tell me who I’m listening to…..NOTHING??? ok, next, pull up the safari activity window to see if there’s a track title associated with the music file….but what??? what’s this I see?? The music files are being streamed from OTHER MUSIC BLOGS!!
Alright, at this point I have so many obscenities running through my mind, but I decide to keep it cool and reply in a very high-level intellectual manner. Here’s how it goes:

fear not, the night is still young and there is rumor that a new Royal Rumble edit of Soulwax will touchdown right here on TUFTSMANIA in the next hour…AND MORE!

Happy thanksgiving my American friends. I hope everyone eats hard and fills their bellies and then pops 10 pills of caffeine in order to hurry out to the gobs (pun intended) of thanksgiving parties going on in LA.
I got this remix from LA’s local, BUL!M!ATRON! (Bulimiatron) yesterday, and it’s amazing what some drum layering and especially……………HAND CLAPS (take note everyone) can do to an already impressive Boys Noize track.

A familiar face has surfaced with a ridiculously banging edit of the recently hyped by discobelle, D.I.M. - Is You. No, I’m not talking about the drug Diindolylmethane, but D.I.M. the electronic boys from Hamburg, Germany. BRINGING IT HEAVY!
The original track is amazing, but LA’s Ryan Justin adds his flavor to the track and fronts something that you’d hear in every resident club dj’s set. The bpms are up, the bass line is heavy hitting, and it has body twitching synth cuts.

I woke to a chilly morning and rode my bike through the dense layer of tingling moisture to school. Same as every Monday morning. This Monday was destined to be different I thought.
Lo and behold, when I come home, what’s waiting for me? DAFT PUNK‘S ALIVE2007!!! I was beyond excited.
So. After the 5 or so hours I’ve been home, I’ve given the album 3 complete run throughs, (yes, including the encore disc).
verdict: daft punk live is apocalypse. in a good way.
Sorry that I don’t have more to say on this matter. Just buy/preorder it depending on where you live.
I was so hyped on this that I made a headache-induced, really poorly mixed, minimix. say that 10 times fast.
