I’ll have to be honest, I was hot on the Bloody Beetroots since their existence, but lately, I couldn’t give a fuck. I can’t find my first beetroots post, but it was before I started tagging my posts. Not gonna waste time looking for it, but if you’re so inclined be my guest.

That’s why I’m posting this now, because the new Cornelius EP is definitely an evolved and more mature sounding Beetroot. That doesn’t change that fact that they’re faggoty mask wearing italian DJs though.

Listen:

The Bloody Beetroots – Cornelius (Radio Oi)

edit: for those of you who don’t already have the EP, anyone with thumbs can find it on the GOOG. Of course, you should probably just buy it.

pps: i forgot to mention, this is also the title for their own ‘documentary’. What’s the deal? Is Kanye West the next to have his own blog haus documentary PRJCT? Intro by SO_ME?

SECRET MULTIMEDIA EVENT

Unless Dim Mak sends this one my way, I’ll probably just pirate it.

on low-end marketing bashing

As you read this, an email sent by myself is floating through a series of tubes and will ultimately end up at someone’s computer. The person who reads (or doesn’t) this email will:

0. read then delete
1. delete
2. read and laugh
3. read and angrily respond
4. read and respond with “:)”
5. read and respond but then get sidetracked by internet pornography.

Any of these is fine by me, because I’m going to post it here without first waiting for any kind of response from the other end –why? Because I can.

Here’s the story:
I’ve been getting a new kind of email. First I thought it was a neat new distribution scheme, but I started getting the same style of email from different ‘labels’ and ‘artists’. I thought nothing of it, but the low bitrate files kind of bothered me (along with the mediocre music). I thought it was maybe a fluke and I’d get some higher quality ones but they kept coming.

Here’s what it looks like:
fuck u robot pieces of shit

Today we are here.
fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck

Anyone know what their deal is? I feel like they’re from the same marketing firm/agency. I’ve never heard of ANY of these labels and/or artists either so it seems possible that they’re actually just different aliases.

I wrote a pretty pissy rant a while ago, and again, and probably will again, but that isn’t the point.

OK….TIME FOR A BLAST FROM THE PAST!!
This is an amazing gem I came across while in France a couple years ago, by way of Silicon Boogie (RIP). Anyway, I’ve been on the heels of half of Silicon Boogie aka: Golden Bug ever since and here’s something to get you hooked. (also check out the label mashup which houses all their side projects. Silicon Square Garden. + houses the other half of Silicon Boogie’s new project “ROVE DOGS”)

Now, take a deep breath and get down.

I’m gonna try to keep things short here. @beccabot is on board to drop mad science here on tuftsmania and report from NY as she’s doing field work at the Blip Fest. Say sup to her and/or pat her on her gravity defying head of tufted hair.

A shit ton of new music has been coming in and I’ve been falling back on listening to it all. I have managed to listen to a few submissions and some are pure shit, but some are top-shelf ace. Here are some of the aces and none of the shit:

From their newest EP, the Bag Raiders are bringing some intense original productions. This is a self-edit of Turbo Love meant for the floor with a longer intro, less vocoder, more bang, and a seriously build up to a gigantic finale that you can mix into universal favorite of your choice (insurance to fill the floor).
Bag Raiders – Turbo Love (Tough Love Remix)

Moulinex turns this Tellier track into something more familiar with his disco-house remix. Clean bass, the familiar Moulinex synth, and the ever necessary extremely solid 4/4 disco rhythm –I could repeat this track all night.
Sebastian Tellier – Kilometer (Moulinex remix)

You CANNOT stop CUT/COPY. I don’t give a fuck what you think. At all. If you can’t feel this track, you have no soul.
CUT/COPY – Sands of Time

Allow these to hold you over until the next time. At this rate, probably in 6 months. ♥ (hopefully I’m exaggerating)

PS BONUS:
let digitalism and 10 rapid break you down

Digitalism – Away (10 rapid remix)
