Real quick.  Just got this remix of Noah and the Whale.  The Twelves put their yacht-chill touch all up on it. Cowbells, drums and all. This summer is all about the yacht and poolside music, so put down that x, put your shades on, grab that margarita, and get down on that lawn chair.

    By the way… the last like 3 remixes these guys have done have been TOTALLY acoustic drums, guitar and bass. I feel like they’re just jamming on some instruments making these remixes, and doing almost no electronic production. Like, that Yuksek remix was garbage, but this one is mighty smooth.

    Can’t decide if its cool that they’re doing this whole ‘band’ remix style as opposed to making electronic dance music…

    yeah, the twelves jams, right? I’m digging it fully. I think it adds to their overall sound and the basis to all funk is soul. It’s hard to have soul on a computer. That isn’t to say their previous stuff didn’t have soul. The progression I’m seeing with the twelves is perfect. They’re finally experimenting with both ends of the spectrum. Hopefully in the future we’ll see the product of these studies. (it’s gonna be epic)

    I am not a huge fan of this Twelves remix but still love those two brilliant Brazilians. I like how they have been stripping their mixes down. I’d say their best mixes can be found here:
