HOOOO. Caught a glimpse of the Boys Noize Starter EP on myspace a few days ago and let me tell you. Let, me, tell, you.
Everything you know and love from Boys Noize is there. The techno organ, the vague vocal, the wwaaaahhhh, and the wwwWWAAHHHHH. ‘Jeffer‘ kicks you into a funky filter rhythm before dropping the shuffling organ riff which eventually builds into the wild-massive main melody. This song has just enough weird to let you completely cut the music and just as people start scratching their heads, start Jeffer by slowly fading in on the intro rhythm. The reaction won’t be instant, but just make sure you bring the volume up to ‘Party Level™’ before the 50 second mark. Fire on the roof.
The Twelves, what more can I say about them that I haven’t already? Legendary techno-disco-pop born in Rio. This little gem was off of a 2009 Vectra GT promo disc featuring a few reworks of A-Ha’s classic ‘Take on Me’. Obviously, the only one worth beans was the Twelves track. Listen up.

To start us off, here’s a mellow, vague vocal, organ synth track. It starts out as an unbelievably vague amalgamation of ambiance….all lightly held together by a simple string of rhythm. Look out for the breakdown @ 1:20 –this is where things get interesting. The vague ambiance is now starting to take shape with a buildup in melody and Boys Noize throws a high pass filter on the drums right before it breaks chorus. Melody is lost as quickly as it took shape. The minimal approach and mid-verse mutation to this track shows how versatile ‘Noize and Siriusmo can get but don’t worry, that delicious melody that had its fleeting stint of fame comes back for an encore of church organ goodness right before the end.
fuck, did i just write that?
Ok now that the deep stuff is out of the way, keyboard bass synth 4 life. Arpeggios 4 life. no thinking needed. GET YO’ ZINZIN BITCH
Late Pass Bonus:
Dragonette. Remember that fun as hell Van She (Tech) (call me, bitches) remix of ‘I Get Around”? They’re back and this original single is so money. Overdrive Overdrive Overdrive Overdrive (Super Keyboards) Overdrive Overdrive Overdrive.
Here’s the Van She Tech remix for those who haven’t heard. Blog vintage! So mode….I could eat that van she tech synth for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Hello mon amis~
I have the best and worst memory ever. It fails every time I need to recall something very necessary, remembers the most minute details of things that would never be of importance and most definitely always forgets the ugly girls.
In a story similar to last time’s shenanigans, I was trying to figure out the name of a track that had been haunting me. Instead of letting it nag at me for months, I decided to call upon the powers of the iChat. Please refer to link up there or click here for the scoop.
Anyway, internet’s one helluva drug. Thanks to all those who brainstormed with me, and to @doriandumont for pulling in the clutch victory.
Was it worth the effort?
FUCK YES. get ready for straight unadulterated techno. twice.
EXTRA: Here’s a little treat that has been proven to make any party go absolutely bonkers. nudge the bpm and use at your own risk.
You’ve all heard Danger before. Whether it be in someone’s mixtape, your friends car space, TV space, movie space, radiospace, outer space, deep sea space, cyberspace, or myspace, you’ve heard it.
Aside from the awesome original productions (which hypem is overflowing with), Danger also dips his skinny fingers in the remix production game. I recently came across this track which made the A/C in my house explode with random, PBR-wielding dancing hipsters crawling out of the vents.
I can guarantee that you’ll hear this coming from my and everyone else’s car/headphones/house/parties ….starting last month.

Happy thanksgiving my American friends. I hope everyone eats hard and fills their bellies and then pops 10 pills of caffeine in order to hurry out to the gobs (pun intended) of thanksgiving parties going on in LA.
I got this remix from LA’s local, BUL!M!ATRON! (Bulimiatron) yesterday, and it’s amazing what some drum layering and especially……………HAND CLAPS (take note everyone) can do to an already impressive Boys Noize track.
