Choreo from germany is at it again, this time with a remix of Kelis – Milkshake. You probably already know that I’ve been freaking out over Choreo ever since, forever.

Although it doesn’t lose sight of the original Milkshake track (which can be dangerous), this track is straight Choreo from beginning to end. His twist puts a strange insanity to the track that can’t be overcome.

Things you need to watch out for: cutting synth guitar, hand claps, choreo-hats-snare, toy piano arpeggios. These things will kick you in the face if you’re not dancing.

Will Choreo-mania sweep the nation? With people make a special sign with their hands that stands for ‘Choreo’? Will he get to design his own clothing line with german designer Karl Lagerfeld? Will he play Madison Square Garden? When will people catch on to the fact that ‘dj’s playing live’ is really dj’s playing back cds?

forget whatever you were just thinking

sebastiAn called, he wants you to start disco dancing ASAP. It’s imperative.

The track has signature sebastiAn breaks, decaying snares, and whining synths. He definitely steps up his game in the soul/funk division with some Shaft status strings/trumpets/guitars.

This track will be out on the latest sebastiAn EP/sampler called MMA, out on who else…ed banger soulja boy records

This is why you need to forget what you once knew, and learn how to listen again.

love,
this guy.

Say hello to my old friend, Bloody Beetroots. I’ve been like, jizzing myself about them for the past… oh, year.

The Bloody Beetroots can throw their ’signature’ bass drum + snare + plucking synths + distorted/reversed vocals + stutter tracks on ANYTHING and make it sound gold, but is there anything beyond these sounds with the masked (all day long) italian producers?

Don’t get me wrong on this one, I’m not complaining, but let’s hear what you can do using something outside the box of beetroots.

Here’s a fairly recent remix of Secret Handshake. This band is part of a very…. interesting movement… which I like to call the emo-fag-failure-vocoded-electro movement popularized by the likes of Muscles et al. (who’s not gay –australia factor/remixed by gods –circle jerk effect).

There are a number of other land locked-united states ‘outfits’ not unlike these who have a cult following of teenage guys. I get depressed looking at their myspaces so I’ll leave the search up to you.

Vocoding is pretty gay, (used every day by akon and t-pain – very important that you click). Let’s leave the vocoding to Cher.

Sorry, derail, back to the track. Again, classic BBs sound (that’s short for Bloody Beetroots, yeah, acronyms.) The intro starts this track so well and builds it up into a string quartet, electronic blow-up.

touche my italian friends, touche.

BONUS!!!! we’ve got the EP version of ‘Butter’ due out on the EP from dim mak soon! Assuming most of you have heard the draft version of Butter, and this is a prime example of ‘outside of beetroots box’ territory. Still has some vintage flavor but a slew of new and welcome sounds.

Watch for stateside releases of Bloody Beetroots LP/EP from your most well known ambiguously feminine asian w/ facial hair label mama….Steve Aoki, Dim Mak -reaping the benefits of music blogville since, forever and signing the bands. amen.
