Completely blown away, the Neon Coyote boys in Brooklyn know how to stir things up in the hooooood!
After having just listened to their latest mixtape which dropped last night, I have no choice but to say, NC can mix the shittiest boring tune ever and make it sound like shittiest BANGING tune ever. heeeelllll yeaaaaaah

I woke to a chilly morning and rode my bike through the dense layer of tingling moisture to school. Same as every Monday morning. This Monday was destined to be different I thought.
Lo and behold, when I come home, what’s waiting for me? DAFT PUNK‘S ALIVE2007!!! I was beyond excited.
So. After the 5 or so hours I’ve been home, I’ve given the album 3 complete run throughs, (yes, including the encore disc).
verdict: daft punk live is apocalypse. in a good way.
Sorry that I don’t have more to say on this matter. Just buy/preorder it depending on where you live.
I was so hyped on this that I made a headache-induced, really poorly mixed, minimix. say that 10 times fast.

Ric of the UK’s Billion Dollar DJs just passed this mixtape over to me, but it’s not just any average DJ promo mixtape.
This mixtape has quite the interesting concept. All of the tracks on this mixtape had to be downloadable from the artist’s myspace. Sort of a Myspace-music-promo-mixtape.
Ric says,
Tracks were selected regardless of genre and includes electro synths, noisy guitars, French rapping (French rap is always so much cooler…) nu-rave and dirty house and all in all i would say it sounds like a sweaty houseparty.
BRILLIANT idea. I had to do a run-through of this mixtape to make sure it was A+. and yes. it was.

Yeah, weird thing to say huh? Usually it’s “sorry about kicking you in the face”, or “sorry about sleeping with your girlfriend”, or “sorry about eating your last frozen burrito”, or “sorry about borrowing your phone and dropping it in the toilet”.
Well, here’s my latest recorded set from a couple nights ago.
It was a really fun night, mostly of recent favorite tracks, but I was having EQ/output line troubles throughout the night and a lot of the tracks have disgusting bass. uuuuggggghhhhh.

up late

Tomorrow I’m flying a short trip to SF for the weekend, so expect an addition to my series of “airport confessions”.
What I needed to tell you now though, is I’ve found a bit of time and am currently playing around with a new tracklist, full of fun little bleeps and bloops. Earlier today I stumbled upon a neat sounding little combo. Ignore the shitty fader levels but when the bass on Detonator comes in, I want to get loco.
