I’ve been making things,
Out of dead cows,

During my absence I took some time to taste what was out there in the real music world.
Alternative still sucks,
Modern Hip-Hop/RnB/Black People music (no racist) for the most part sucks except for R. Kelly (crazy motherfucker) and Gucci (still doing his thing from jail wordup),
Country was saved by Carrie Underwood (luv u babes),

Now back in unicorn fairy blog music land, here’s something from blog-decades ago. Pilooski does his thing on Jarvis Cocker’s “Discosong”. In this case, Pilooski’s ‘thing’ means making something sound better no matter how good it already is.

My backlog of ‘to shlog’ is getting longer and longer. Bad for me, good for you. Really a lot of good shit coming around these days and I don’t anticipate it slowing down anytime soon. Some of my favorites are locked down in the studio getting their chops ready to record new albums, so be ready!
Up next in the list is from Yuksek. The EP “Extraball” recently dropped, I think. It is a massive EP and features Amanda Blank’s vocals with remixes by ….drumroll….omfg….Burns, Pilooski, Breakbot, and a cover by The Shoes??? WHAT.THE.FUCK.!!! MADNESSSSSS. Get this. ASAP.
Anyway, here’s Breakbot’s remix which is undeniably ‘Breakbot’. Funk funk funk funkkkkkk. the synths and vocals. perfect for days. make you do the funky bot.
(ps: Breakbot also just signed with Ed Banger, finally. can’t wait to hear what comes of this very holy matrimony)

Pacific! has been a love in my life for almost 2 years now. Not to be confused with the (also awesome) band Pelifics, whom I’ve featured recently, Pacific! has a somewhat similar smooth sound.
