This is a Treasure Fingers edit/bootleg of Jocelyn Brown’s “Someone Else’s Guy”, totally unofficial, but totally awesome.
Where did Treasure Fingers learn the funk? This is perhaps a mystery nobody is yet ready to answer.
Anyway, check this bootleg, spread it around, play it out. The intro starts out relatively innocuous, but just as the vocal drops at 1:31 it gets soooo groooove! Start to get summer hype for the 2 upcoming releases!

If you’ve been keeping up with this website for a while, you may have noticed I don’t necessarily blog about cutting edge-seconds-after-release brand new tracks. I have in the past and I might in the future, but as the days have passed I’ve realized that nobody gives a fuck who broke news of whatever hyped track first. For now and the future, all that matters to me is the lasting appeal of whatever it is I’m listening to. Everything is too short-lived these days and it’s honestly not a great thing. Miike Snow just released their self titled album and the single ‘Animal’ is obviously fun as hell. It might be ugly as sin in LA weather-wise, but it’s still summer and this bleeds it!

bb update: just got out of a final to find another 20 messages on my bb. The mailing list is going strong!
The most astounding/interesting/perplexing thing happened this morning. Things went as usual. I woke up, brushed my teeth, fried an egg, burned the toast, then sat down for some quality 1 on 1 with apple mail. (yep, no shower, this is what future-scientists do)
Everything was going well and as usual: club promo, invites, mp3s, blah blah, label promoters being dicks, you know –the usual. ANYWAY…. I come to an email from Peter from the Outlaws. It’s got a mixtape, alright, sweet so I start downloading it. While that is going, I go to my next message.
I do a double take. someone pressed…..
REPLY TO ALL
and then… I saw it again… then again. The same title, but with more Re:’s attached and from different senders! By this point I could feel the excitement mounting in my happy little fingers. It had suddenly warped to 1982 and everyone reverted to using one of the earliest renditions of social networking known as ‘mailing lists’.
all those colored lines represent every time someone replied to all and re-quoted the whole message. there were at least 70 recipients on that list.
I think I just heard a little rip in the time/space continuum due to this.
